Nine dead in Army Black Hawk helicopter crash in Kentucky

Army officials reported on Thursday that two Army Black Hawk medical evacuation helicopters collided during a nighttime training exercise in Kentucky, resulting in the deaths of nine individuals.

The incident occurred in southwestern Kentucky on Wednesday night while the helicopters, which were part of the 101st Airborne Division, were on a routine training mission, the Associated Press reported.

The crash site is approximately 30 miles (48 kilometers) northwest of Fort Campbell, and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
