Oregon Spring Chinook Fishing

We took the Starcraft out for springers in the 2020 Covid-19 opener, and managed to find a huge salmon willing to take the bait!

Fishing in a popular trolling lane near the Willamette river mouth, we were able to get a bite on a cut plug herring trolled behind a Yakama Bait Big Al's fish flash. We kept seeing possible fish at 21 feet on our Lowrance fish finder, so John reeled his herring up higher, right into the sweet spot.
