Hundreds of army retirees protest for higher pensions in Beirut

Military retirees by the hundreds marched in protest to the central bank in Beirut, Lebanon on Thursday. The demonstrators are calling for increased pensions amid Lebanon’s deteriorating economy and depreciated national currency. Nisrine Chahine posted the footage to Twitter and can be heard saying the protestors are headed to Banque du Liban.
