Russia's Commissioner for Children's Rights on International Crime Court warrant

30 Mar 23 Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, mother and guardian of 23 children (!!!), discussing the situation on Russian TV after ICC judges issued arrest warrants against her and Vladimir Putin.

Russian soldiers - not Ukrainian ones - were taking the children away from the shelling, Mariupol included. Some parents were sending or driving their children to a safe place in Russia.

They were staying in prophylactic centers, in children's summer camps. There was no forced relocation, no adoptions (at all). We handed the children over to legal representatives if they showed up.

Western officials have not paid attention to the children suffering from Ukrainian shelling over the past several years, and now they are getting concerned.
