In the Midst of Tragedy

➡️ When tragedy touches our lives, we need to know how to respond. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson provides a biblical response to the tragic school shooting at a Christian school in Nashville, offering truths that can apply to any time of turmoil. We need to begin by choosing to have compassion—for the victims, the families involved, the schools, and for family of the perpetrator. In the midst of the overwhelming grief, it’s also important to recognize what we can be grateful for: emergency workers; a quick response from the police; and more. Pastor Allen reminds us of the power of prayer—it can transform our own hearts and the world around us. The Church’s assignment to be salt and light, and it’s an important time to be addressing the culture in which we live.
