A 9-foot alligator was wrangled off the streets of Tampa.

On Wednesday morning, the Tampa Police Department was notified of an alligator wandering the streets of W. Kathleen St and N. Howard Ave.

Body cam video shows the gator hissing at the crowd of officers, while one officer comes from behind, grabbing its tail. After some work, officers managed to loop the rope around the gator's jaw. Then, an officer was able to get on top of the gator and duct tape its mouth shut.

Police say the growling gator was taken by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to be relocated to a more suitable area.
