Yoshihiro Francis Fukuyama is a prominent American political scientist, political economist, and author whose work has garnered international recognition. His most notable book, "The End of History and the Last Man," published in 1992, asserts that liberal democracy is the final form of human government, marking the end of human history's ideological struggles after the Cold War.

Fukuyama's subsequent work, "Trust: Social Virtues and Creation of Prosperity," acknowledged the interdependence of culture and economics, refining his earlier position. Although once associated with the neoconservative movement, Fukuyama has since distanced himself from it.

Fukuyama holds a senior fellowship at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies since 2010 and serves as director of the Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy at Stanford University. Additionally, he is a council member of the International Forum for Democratic Studies and a member of the Information and Democracy Commission.
