The Nintendo NES Classic is Back BUT Can We Find One on the 6/29/2018 on Re-Release Morning

In this video, we share our exploits of heading to Wal-Mart at 1:30am on 6/29/18 to see if we can actually find a Nintendo NES Classic in the wild yet again.
The NES Classic has been so amazingly hard to find since it's release in 2016. Scalpers have taken advantage of the situation by selling units for 5, 6, 10 times what the original selling price was.

Since it was first announced in 2016 the NES Classic Edition, or NES Mini, has been a super hot commodity item. This normally $60 plug-and-play system has been selling on eBay and other 3rd party reselling sites for $200, $300, even $500 or more a the height of the craze. Nintendo announced in early 2017 that production of the NES Classic was all done, that they were focusing their efforts on their next home console, the Nintendo Switch, leaving fans disappointed and scalpers licking their chops.

In Summer 2017 Nintendo announced the follow-up to the NES Classic, the SNES Classic Edition, but they also indicated that the NES Classic would once again be seeing a production run. Not just a run but that it would be produced en-mass for anyone who wanted one to get one. That was the messaging with the SNES Classic as well and, for the most part, Nintendo delivered a better experience with the SNES Classic. You could get them in the wild, scalpers were selling them for next-to-zero profit, giving hope to many for 2018.

Nintendo of America has finally announced the planned re-release date for the NES Classic as June 29, 2018. The system is unchanged from the original version, once again including 30-top games from the era including:

This should, once and for all, end the process of scalpers and the NES Classic Edition. This does leave us wondering, however, how will Nintendo follow-up the 1-2 punch of the 8-bit NES Classic and 16-Bit SNES Classic?
