Should You Use Plex and the SiliconDust HD Homerun to Help Cut the Cord? A RoXolid Review & Tutorial

There have been a ton of questions regarding the hardware and software needed to cut the cord. Even one of my close friends, whom I consider technically savvy, is struggling with being able to cut the cord from DirecTV. One of the easiest ways to cut the cord is with the HD Homerun from SiliconDust, either the Extend or Prime. This system works great for converting video from your antenna or cable card to something you can share on your home network. Combine this with an nVidia Shield TV running Live Channels or Plex Media Server and you get an all-in-one DVR Cord Cutting solution.
