In this video, we share news from Hyperkin about a new light gun for the NES that promises you the ability to play Duck Hunt on modern HD TVs.

One of the holy grails for HD TV owners who are into retro gaming has to be light gun games. Due to the way that a flat panel TV generates its picture, they just don't work. There have been some homebrew options out there which allows you to play Duck Hunt on modern televisions, but you need not only to mod your Zapper yourself but a special version of the ROM. Hyperkin is looking to change all that with their new Hyper Blaster HD for the NES.

Per Hyperkin's Press Release:
Hyper Blaster HD for NES:

•Play Duck Hunt for the NES with a light gun on an HDTV (original Duck Hunt cartridge and NES required)
• Includes special Hyper Blaster HD light gun
• Includes Hyper Blaster HD Adapter to allow HDTV compatibility

It will be interesting to see if this is compatible with clone systems, such as Hyperkin's own RetronHD.

Hyperkin also announced 2 other products:
