Eon Gaming Announces Super 64 HDMI Plug and Play Adapter
In this video, we discuss the just-announce Eon Gaming Super 64 Plug-&-Play HDMI Adapter designed for the Nintendo 64.
Eon Gaming has made quite the name for themselves with their Plug-&-Play HDMI Adapters for the Nintendo Gamecube. As a HUGE fan of these, my ears perked up a bit when I heard there was a new product coming from Eon Gaming. I knew something was in the works back in April at the Midwest Gaming Classic, but I didn't have the details. I do now!
Eon Gaming is taking a step backwards. Not literally, figureatively as their next product is for those who owned the predecessor to the Gamecube, and I am of course talking about the N64.
The N64 is a weird duck, from the trident controller to the way it processed video. We've previously RGB-modded our N64, but that involves knowing how to solder and purchasing about $100 in mod chips and cables to get the best results. The Super 64 is compatible with all variants of N64 (the mod I mentioned is only compatible with N64s with serial numbers starting with NS1) and outputs to an HDMI cable. Pretty sweet!
