In this video, we unbox and test out the Hyperkin Silicone Skin Case design for the Nintendo Switch Lite.

The Nintendo Switch Lite is a very convenient, portable handheld device. It allows you to play practically the entire lineup of Nintendo Switch games on the go. Because of this, it will be popular for parents to have for kids, similar to the 2DS or 3DS. because kids are jerks and pick their noses, you will probably want something to protect your switch light. That's where the high Perkins silicone protective case comes into play

Available in four different colors, the Hyperkin Silicone Skin Case is an inexpensive way to protect your investment. It has cutouts for both the left and right Joy-con analog sticks, d-pad, and buttons, molded-in buttons for the plus and minus along with home and capture buttons, and cutouts for the speakers, power port, and cartridge port.

One of the nice things about this case is on the back it has a number of little bumps to give you a more positive grip, as the silicone itself can be quite slippery. This will definitely help little hands make sure that they don't drop the system as they carry it around.

Removing the case from the box, it pretty much just stretches right over the top of your Switch Lite and into place. Be careful, it is possible to attempt to install it upside down. Make sure that you know where the cartridge port and power ports are before you try to install it. Installing it upside down could stretch out the case and make it not fit properly when you turn it around.

Speaking of the fitment of the case itself, the left side fits great, the right side, at least on the turquoise one, I needed to work into place to get to lie flat. After a couple of days of playing, it finally laid on the system as it should. If you want to expedite that process, you can put a few rubber bands around the case and heated up with a hairdryer.

Why it RoX
- available in four different colors
- inexpensive
- provides protection for the back and sides of your switch light
- send enough to allow you to charge your switch light on the adjustable switch charging dock

What could be improved?
- the silicon is a little bit slippery
- I had to work the right side to conform to the system
- additional color options would be great
- unlike their grip case that they just came out with, no storage for cartridges

Should you buy one?
I think this is a great way to protect your Switch Lite if you have small kids. It'll definitely give them a better grip on the system and provide a little bit of protection. I personally prefer the Hyperkin grip case, but that's because that also solves another issue that I have regarding tendonitis in my right thumb. I think the four colors all look great, I just wish that it fit a little bit better initially, but I understand with a product like this it will stretch over time and conform.
