Retro Fighters Announces the New BrawlerGen Controller For the Sega Genesis, Mega Drive & Saturn

In this video, we discuss the newly announced BrawlerGen controller for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and Sega Saturn from Retro Fighters.

I first learned about Retro Fighters in 2018 when I learned of their new take on the N64 controller with their revolutionary Brawler 64. This completely reimagined the N64 controller gave it a modern flair, and really changed what it meant for me to play my Nintendo 64. More recently, Retro Fighters announced a colored/transparent version, which at the time of this video, they will be shipping very soon. However, Retro Fighters has not stopped developing and their next project has Sega fans in mind, with the BrawlerGen!

The BrawlerGen is outfitted with 2 connectors, a Genesis/Mega Drive connector and a Saturn Controller. One thing we need to determine is whether or not the BrawlerGen will also work with the Master System or not, as it does use the same connector as the Genesis. I would think it should work, but stranger things have happened!

Perhaps the most unique aspect of the BrawlerGen controller is that, much like the 3D Saturn controller, this also has an analog stick in addition to the Dpad. The analog stick is placed in a similar location to, say, the PlayStation Dual Shock.
