Nintendo NES Game Hunting - Can We Score a Deal? #Shorts

In this YouTube #Shorts episode, we visit Broadway Resale in Mattoon, IL to see if we can get some lunchtime pickups!

While I tend to do a lot of my video editing over my lunch, there are times when I just need to get out of my office for a bit during the day. About 20-minutes from where I work is a resale store named Broadway Resale. One bummer, or perhaps a good thing, is that the store is only open Friday-Sunday, so my opportunities to go hunt is a bit limited.

The best way I can describe Broadway Resale is that it's part pawn shop, part junk shop, part flea market. I always feel like I need to wash my hands a lot after going in there. It's not that it's dirty, it's just not very clean if that makes sense. I've picked up a few games from here in the past 2 years, nothing amazing but some decent things here and there.

I went in looking for Dreamcast games, and the only thing I saw that caught my eye was Shenmue, but at $35 I passed. From here I looked at the NES, SNES, and other systems. I did find three NES Titles of interest:

Tiny Toon Adventures ($11 Value)
Ghostbusters 2 ($13 value)
The Muppets: Chaos at the Carnival ($10 Value)

None were in fantastic shape, and a few were overpriced for what they were. I managed to talk them down to $30 for all 3 games, so $10 each or a net savings of $4. Not huge, but I take the wins where I can get them!

Now, I am off to take them home and clean them. Some of the games I have gotten from Broadway Resale have been rough, regarding the pins, but some have been like new. We'll see how these are when I get them on the bench!!
