In this #YouTube #Shorts Episode, we share our pickups from Live Action Games & a follow-up to our recent video about the #RetroTink 5X!

There is a lot moving and shaking, and it's only May 1st! One of the most exciting releases of the year, the RetroTink 5X from Mike Chi, was just announced this past year. Designed to

Pre-orders opened on May 1st, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific. Customers were limited to one per order, so hopefully we don't run into issues with people hoarding these things. At $275 each, it's not a cheap investment, but good is seldom cheap and cheap is seldom good. For customers in the UK, things were not quite as smooth as Mike had hoped. Shortly after the ordering window opened, an error with PayPal cropped up for UK Customers. Mike took to Twitter to state the following:

"I am so humbled and honored by the reception of the 5X. As always thank you so much everyone for making this possible.

1. UK - Please stand by, I am so sorry that the PayPal system seems to be broken today. You have not been forgotten. I have a stashed reserved for UK and will post details as soon as I can fix the PayPal system.

To everyone that didn't get this batch, I am so sorry that you took the time out of your day only to miss out."

Mike did indicate that he will have more stock coming in June or July, so make sure you are following him on Twitter (@RetroTink2) to get the latest information. Stay tuned!

We were lucky to be able to procure one of the first batch, so please stay tuned for our upcoming videos in the coming days!

We also stopped off at Live Action Games as I had gotten a notification regarding a game I had on my Wish List. He had gotten SSX Tricky for the Gamecube in, and I had added it to my wish list. I didn't update my information as I had gotten it a few months ago. Oh well, but I did find 2 awesome pickups. The first was R-Type Final 2 Inaugural Flight Edition. I rarely get the special editions of these things, but that's what was in-stock so that's what I got. It comes with some extra cool gear, so for the money I have to admit I was feeling some FOMO, or fear of missing out.

The final thing I snagged was the Official Nintendo Player's Guide, which is just amazing. Straight from the pages of Nintendo Power, the Nintendo Players Guide features reviews of over 90-games for the NES, pretty sweet. I also noticed that the stickers were intact and still at the back of the book. This was way too cool of a find and will be a great addition to my collection.
