Ann Marie Buerkle served as a Commissioner at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) from July 5, 2013 until October 27, 2019. She served as Acting Chairman of the agency from February 9, 2017 through September 30, 2019. Prior to joining the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Ms. Buerkle served the people of Upstate New York’s 25th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. During her time in Congress, Ms. Buerkle served on the Oversight & Government Reform, Foreign Affairs, and Veterans’ Affairs Committees.
