Talk with former NY Candidate, Quanda Francis, Activist Sara Higdon and Independent Journalist Alison Morrow about how independent can (or can't) succeed and what the future actually will be... and whatever else comes up!

Quanda Francis was the first African American woman to run for Mayor of New York City as the nominee of a political party she established. She is also a former candidate for United States Congress and New York State Comptroller. Additionally, she currently serves on the county committee representing New York’s 52nd Assembly District (Brooklyn Heights).

Sara Higdon served as an Army Logistics Officer for seven and a half years. She served in the famed 101st and 82nd Divisions, and was awarded a Bronze Star after a deployment to Afghanistan in 2013. In 2017 Sara got out and began working as a Warehouse Manager for a major medical company. At the same time, she was diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria, and began medically transitioning in March of 2019.

Alison Morrow quit her TV news career in 2019 after 12 years as a reporter. She is the recipient of two Emmy awards as well as the Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi award for Excellence in Journalism.
