The Battle of Białystok–Minsk was one of the most one-sided battles in the Second World War. The Germans completely caught the Soviets by surprise when they crossed the border into the USSR in June 1941. The battle resulted in heavy Soviet losses but did not spell the end of their fight in the war. In this video, we take a look at the battle, what went wrong, and what happened after.
