Tomoyuki Yamashita was a Japanese commander and convicted war criminal in WWII…but was he actually a war criminal? He was in command of troops who committed horrific acts on civilians across Asia, but he never gave orders for his soldiers to do any of it. He even expressed remorse. So was he really a war criminal? In this video, we look at his life in the military and his trial to try and answer that question.
