Putin likes to piggyback on Europe because thats how Russia survived

Putin -Those who say Russia is dependent on China are envious, in reality EU is far more reliant on trade with Beijing than Russia.
Reality: China's exports are decreasing even if Russia has more trade with China. How is that possible in the same time with Putins statement that EU is more reliant on trade? If it was, the trade between countries would increase. So obviously Putin tells a blatant lie. But what do you think?
