Why was the Mississippi tornado so powerful?

At least 25 people have been killed in Mississippi and one in neighboring Alabama after a powerful storm levelled hundreds of buildings. Expert Samuel Emmerson, a member of the radar research group at the University of Oklahoma, explains why the storm was so deadly.
