Phoenix, Arizona: Phoenix Police says an officer was shot during a "violent and unprovoked attack."

The Phoenix Law Enforcement Association says the officer was shot while responding to a call of a car that had crashed into a home.

The officer is being treated at a hospital and the officer's injuries are non-life-threatening.
