House TikTok Hearing's Rampant Anti-Chinese Scapegoating

Rep. Darren Soto says at the energy & commerce committee hearing with TikTok's CEO that TikTok needs to be an American company with American values when it comes to data security and that it should divest from its ties to the Chinese Communist party and its parent company ByteDance. TikTok's CEO, Shou Zi Chew, responds by observing that American social media companies do not have the greatest track record when it comes to data security.
