NATO's Secret Armies: Operation "GLADIO" and Terrorism in Western Europe (2009)

In 1990, alarming evidence of NATO-sponsored terrorist attacks came to light. NATO’s secret “stay behind” armies that were set up across Western Europe after the Second World War were supposedly intended to help put together a resistance if the Soviet Union invaded. However, they went on to commit terrorist attacks against their own populations, so as to influence domestic politics. The forces still exist post-Cold War. This film is the shocking story of Operation Gladio—a tale of espionage, conspiracy and political violence carried out by the United States.

Small terror groups throughout Europe say they are supported by a wider SHADOWY ORGANIZATION that was connected at the HIGHEST LEVELS to the MILITARY's SECRET SERVICE. In 1990 a Italian prosecutor gained access to the Italian Military Intelligence Service and unearthed documents revealing a TOP SECRET ORGANIZATION and what came out was a SECRET CLANDESTINE STRUCTURE headed by the chief of the Italian secret services and code named "GLADIO" (Stay behind). Found documents that connected this mysterious force to NATO. Then the Italian Prime Minister was forced to go public with this new information. It was part of a much WIDER network of stay behind armies coordinated and set up by NATO so they could conduct CLANDESTINE OPERATIONS while maintaining contact with the Western Powers. SABOTAGE & DISRUPT. After WW2 Britain and the USA established a secret network of stay behind armies in over 15 European countries including neutral Switzerland and Austria and managed by the local secret services of each country in close cooperation of the CIA & MI-6. These networks had a different name in every country and in Italy it was called "GLADIO".

A far right Italian leader who is in jail for terrorism now believes the ultra right wing groups are all being MANIPULATED by the state. He says all the terror attacks and mass murders in Italy were carried out by men who were working for the state operators. They were all connected to those operators and they were always protected and hidden by it.
