Former Republican Congressman David Chipper from Florida criticized his former colleagues in the House of Representatives

for holding shapeless hearings instead of focusing on the needs of their constituents.

Conservative lawmakers have demanded that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg appear before Congress to answer questions about the Trump grand jury

. However, grand jury investigations are confidential, and Bragg cannot disclose information even if he wanted to. Congress has no jurisdiction over Bragg's office.

Meanwhile, conservative lawmakers are visiting prisoners in the D.C. jail who are waiting for trial for their roles in the January 6th insurrection.

GOP members argue that the conditions for the detainees are unacceptable. However,

the D.C. jail has been criticized as unsuitable for all inmates, not just those accused of insurrection

. One judge even suggested that the January 6th defendants were being treated better than other inmates.

Conservative lawmakers also met with the mother of Ashli Babbitt,

who died while trying to enter the House Speaker's outer office during the insurrection. On MSNBC,

Dr. Jason Johnson criticized lawmakers for involving Babbitt's mother for political purposes.

Johnson also criticized House GOP Twitter accounts for using inflammatory language to attack Bragg.

He noted that these tweets could become evidence in future investigations.

David Happy called for an investigation into House conservatives' actions under Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan,

James Comer, and others. He urged lawmakers to focus on their duties and hold them accountable for any wrongdoing.
