The Polecat (a.k.a. the Panfish Polecat) is a quick fly with lots of action and contrast that panfish just love. It works great with or without weight and, like the Gill Getter, is a fly that seems to be irresistible. If you want to eliminate catching the smaller panfish then tie this on a #6 or #4 hook. Size 10 and 12 hooks will catch lots of smaller fish as well as a few of the bigger ones. I tie these in Yellow, Orange, Olive, and Chartreuse and they all seem to work well. -- Enjoy
