VP George HW Bush's son Neil Bush was scheduled to have dinner with Scott Hinckley (John Hinckley Jr brother) in Denver that week but they cancelled it after the assassination attempt (What are the ODDS of that? 300 million Americans and you just happen to be friends with the guy's family who shot President Reagan).
