SPOT ON CHESS PUZZLES for Saturday, March 25th, 2023

Three chess puzzles for your enjoyment today! When selecting a chess move you should have your very own "Discipline Check List". This will help you to play a much more solid game... On my list I include two important agenda items: "Forcing Moves" and "Check all lines from all line pieces."

FORCING MOVE:
1.) All captures with check
2.) All checks
3.) All captures
4.) All moves that improve the position.

CHECK ALL LINES from ALL LINES PIECES"
- Our lines pieces are Queens, Rooks and Bishops. All of the pieces that move along a straight "line" - Files, Ranks and or Diagonals.
- Look at all of the lines that "shine out" or "radiate outward" from each line piece.
- Even look at lines that have "traffic" in the way - your or your opponent's pieces.

One additional piece of advice - this time from former World Chess Champion Emanuel Lasker:
"When you see a good move, wait, look for a better one."
