This 160 acre gem sits on a bluff just off of the Wilmington River and has been featured in books and films alike. I bet you that almost everyone would have Forsyth Park in their top three suggestions. Forsyth Park is a 30 acres park that's considered part of the Savannah Historic District just south of downtown. Built in the 1840s, Forsyth is still one of the top tourist attractions up and down the southern coast. Today, besides just hosting tourists, the park serves as a relaxing getaway for locals to exercise, enjoy a walk with their dog, visit the farmers market or even to smell the Fragrant Garden. What you may not know is that the entirety of downtown Savannah is considered a national historic district, one of the largest in the country. The reason for this is what's known as "The Oglethorpe plan." This specific plan places "Squares" at the center of each city ward(similar to city blocks), and expands the city square by square. Today, 22 of the original 24 squares survive and these squares are one of the main reasons the relatively small city sees millions of tourists a year. #Savannah #GA #Georgia #Travel #Vlog #History

It was a quick overnight trip to celebrate a friends birthday. It was a really nice time. We were only able to stay for one night so we tried to make the best of it. This video originally posted on 2/22/21 Fort Pulaski is a Civil War era fort outside of Savannah Georgia. It's currently recognized as a National Monument in the Unite States. I had the opportunity to visit Fort Pulaski and walk the fields surrounding it. Fort Pulaski was also used as a prison and at one point held the infamous "Immortal 600." I knew very little about these 600 men prior to visiting. However, since I visited I've been reading a lot about what happened with them. I really enjoyed making this video so I hope you enjoy! The first location to open was in Alpharetta, Georgia just outside of Atlanta. December 6th marked the one year anniversary for this location. As part of it Jon Taffer came to celebrate. I was surprised to see Phil Wills there as well. Overall I had a great time and they were both super friendly.
