COCAINE BEAR’S Real Story

The real cocaine Bear, whose life inspired the film, was just a bear living in a national forest when bags of human drugs essentially fell into her living room. This video, filmed at the Dickerson Park zoo’s black bear habitat tells the story of her life and death. It also describes the story of the plane’s pilot, Andrew Thornton II, his boss Jimmy Chagra, and his hit man Charles Harrelson. You are probably familiar with his actor son, Woody Harrelson. Even if criminals aren’t your thing, there is some adorable bear footage here and a more lighthearted story than usual.
