Carnivorous Plant - Garden snail ventures onto a dangerous plant

The normally gluey, sticky long foot of a garden snail sticks to glass and ceilings. What's wrong with it on this plant?

We have a variety of different species with new ones arising as the seed pods ripen on the plants. It changes throughout the year with some species coming with maturing stock.
