Liberation vs Hypersexual (in the Mainstream Music Industry)

This video is a keystone video in my series. It’s defining the terms I use in all that I talk about. The exact examples within are not the point though. The over arching purpose is to give you this rubric so you can start assessing as we go forward and you understand what I mean in future videos that reference these words and concepts.

My intention is not to smear the dignity of any of the examples chosen. I have no vendetta or desire to cast judgement on any of the specific artists or albums that I’ve chosen to critique here. Everything is chosen at face value to help define my thoughts.

I talk about "the children" a lot. Right now, a lot of the attention is about taking care of the children in regards to sex and sexuality. This seamlessly ties in with the whole whirlwind surrounding the LGBTQ drag/trans political firestorm (see comment on that below.) We do need to protect children, but my platform includes everyone, all the time, even after age 18. It’s interesting how we’re all piling on to voice an opinion about something that we believe only affects minors, when the issue actually affects any one at any age, we just let them fend for themselves at that point.

Before anyone attempts to call me racist, I’m fully that aware my breakdown choices are all people of color. So what. It was not intentional. I mention skin color how many times? Right. There are plenty of examples with other skin colors in my examples at the end. I specifically discuss Miley Cyrus and Rebecca Black at the end as well. Also, black artists are some of the most talented and in-tune with the human spirit through music - hypersexualization aside - I can’t knock that. So sit down with your false flag racist, virtue signal whining and watch the video for the purpose it was made for.

DRAG BAN COMMENT
The inspiration to finally make a video about this - something that has been on my mind for a decade - came from the explosion of controversy surrounding banning drag shows for children. This open door to hypersexualization in the mainstream is part of the nuanced problem with drag queens for kids.

By definition, drag shows are men performing as women - perfectly acceptable under free speech. The shows that should be banned are hypersexualized strippers that happen to be men, which are not appropriate for children.

Unfortunately, the nuance is lost and has created more heat and division between far right and far left, when the real problem is happening at a much higher perspective.

That is my goal with any of these videos. The individual issues are the *crumbs* of consciousness. I am not here to fight over *crumbs* of consciousness. I am here to fight for the whole damn pie of humanity.
