AMAZON rolls out palm-scanning tech to 200 locations

According to a Vice President who spoke with Reuters, Amazon.com Inc’s palm-scanning and cashier-less checkout technology is currently being used in over 200 establishments, both inside and outside the company.

In an interview, Vice President Dilip Kumar explained that the e-commerce and cloud-computing giant is expanding the implementation of its touchless technology among existing clients, Yahoo News reported.

Amazon has not disclosed any specific growth figures, but the company did announce in June 2022 that over 69 locations in the United States and the United Kingdom had implemented its palm-scanning and cashier-less checkout technology.
