Federal Northern District Court of California Explained

This video explains what the Northern District Court in California and the Counties it serves and the Four Offices in Eureka, Oakland, San Jose and San Francisco. The Northern District Court serves the following counties:

1. Alameda
2. Contra Costa
3. Del Norte
4. Humboldt
5. Marin
6. Mendocino
7. Monterey
8. Napa
9. San Francisco
10. Santa Cruz
11. Santa Clara
12. Sonoma

Keep in mind, federal courts are courts of "limited jurisdiction" and can only hear cases where:

A. A federal law is at issue (ex. copyright infringement, trademark infringement, TILA, RESPA, etc.)

B. Diversity of Citizenship - companies or citizens of two different states are suing each other.
