In this video Attorney Steve® talks about free speech (first amendment) and how that applies with private companies like Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Generally, these companies are NOT REGULATED by the first amendment and these sites have their own rules, guidelines, and community standards. If you violate these you can be suspended, or put in what some people call "facebook jail" or "de-platformed" all together.

After a recent Twitter fact-check of Trump (in regard to Trump saying that mail in balloting can lead to fraud), twitter fact checked him and in response (in my opinion) Trump is now going after these online platforms and trying to limit the shield of liability protection they get under the Communications Decency Act ("CDA") section 230.

Trump wants to treat them as "publishers" if they are going to go around blocking viewpoints and he has asked other federal agencies such as the DOJ (Attorney General), FTC, and heads of departments to engage in various things discussed in this video.

This is general legal information only. This is an advertisement and a communication.
