We Hiked to A Preserved Village in Wildwood Canyon State Park Yucaipa Ca, With @thelightbulbguys

We hiked to the most well preserved village I've ever seen in the hills just outside of Yucaipa Ca. Part of the California State Park system, this small day hike has everything you could ask for on a beginner trail from wild life to bird watching, picturesque views and of course what we wanted to see,... this well intact and preserved village. Ok so maybe not exactly a village but what is left over from the residence that once called wildwood Canyon home. And of course no video is every complete with out a fly over from my DJI Mini SE.

The first recorded landowner was mountain man James Waters, who started a hog ranch on the current park property in the 1850s. The area was called “Hog Cañon”. Later settlers included rancher Louis Morris and the Brooks family, who staked mining claims in the area. The canyon sold to Vernon Hunt for development, who bought up area ranches and the former Wildwood Lodge in 1940 to build Hunt Ranch. Some remnants of Hunt Ranch which is shown in this video are still on the property.
