France trained in Clairefontaine on Monday, preparing for the first match of their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign - a Group B meeting with Netherlands at Stade de France on Friday.

Head coach Didier Deschamps will select a new captain ahead of the match, with Hugo Lloris having handed in the skipper's armband and announcing his retirement from international football following France's failed World Cup title defence in Qatar.

Deschamps has already decided who will replace Lloris between the posts though, with AC Milan's Mike Maignan named as 'Les Bleus'' first choice shot-stopper on Monday.
