“Chance favours the prepared mind” - Louis Pasteur

“Trust that whatever you’re doing is setting you up to do something down the road that you can’t anticipate. That moment will come and you’ll realize that because I embraced and learned everything that I could 5 years ago… 10 years ago... it’s now a tool in my tool box, it’s part of me.”

Marty Strong became a navy SEAL in his late teens but it was more by chance than by planning. But that chance set him up to development the mindset and skills he’d need to succeed well beyond his navy SEAL days. But stepping out of the SEAL structure at retirement was a big shift and it took some time to find his place as an entrepreneur. A few decades later, Marty has written nine novels, 2 business books, he’s been a counter terrorism consultant for various governments, financial advisor, and CEO of a government equity company among other things. He’s learned that every step in your career is preparing you for the next step, and you often have no idea what that will be.
