I think 911 was a big wake up call for Trump back then.

I think that possibly could have affected him because he saw it happen miles away from the event, from his office.I think this is a thing to a boomerang to get back, to look into, not get back, because this is not a revenge, but to look into the crimes of Bush and Obama and others and expose them.
