Commissioner spreads misinformation in desperate bid to cling to power

For years now, Larry and I have talked about the benefits of a five member board of commissioners. Larry even introduced legislation that was stymied by some members of our local delegation that don’t live in Rockdale.

Recently one of our representatives that actually does live in Rockdale County has introduced legislation to increase the board of commissioners to five members, doing away with the chairman and his salary, and instead electing five members by district, at their standard salary. So that we finally get local representation that is accountable to the people in their district, that costs the same or less than the current system of non-representation.

This would be introduced as a ballot measure, that the voters of Rockdale get to approve or not, yet there are still some members of our local delegation, who do not live in Rockdale county, who do not want to give the voters of Rockdale County the opportunity for change!. And The current board of commissioners is already spreading misinformation regarding this legislation. Larry and I will address that this evening.
