Russian soldier - Platoon Commander Sgt. Alexander Maltsev single-handedly occupied an AFU stronghold in Donbass
His group of three men went on the assault. Immediately, two Russian Armed Forces soldiers who were walking with him were wounded.

Detachment commander Maltsev pulled them out from under fire and stealthily continued the attack alone - the officer destroyed several AFU servicemen, took prisoners and occupied the defense of the "stronghold."

From March 10 to 13, his group repelled several attacks by superior enemy forces, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

On March 13, during one of the mortar attacks, Sergeant Maltsev received wounds incompatible with life.
