Monday Legends with SPH: St. Francis. Patron saint of Italy, but usually identified with patronage to animals and a statue in the garden. He was also a military man before at the Saint stuff. But now all the modern day folk like to throw in animals and the environment. Like this man gave two craps about the Ozone layer or people throwing shit out their window on to the street below in Assisi. He was canonized by Pope Gregory IX in 1228.
