Easy To Use Mounting Brackets & Jig To Make Floating Shelves | Plywood Working Project

If you have ever wanted to make a floating shelf this is the video to watch! In this episode I will show you how to make the famous IKEA LACK floating shelf. Building a floating shelf is a great beginner woodworking project and only requires a few basic tools. The floating shelf I am going to make can be made to any length or depth.

The best thing about building this floating shelf is the jig and mounting hardware we are going to use to hang this shelf. I found these amazing floating shelf mounting brackets made by Sheppards Brackets! The best thing about these brackets is there is a routing jig and hole jig you can use to perfectly cut and drill and install the mounting brackets. I highly would recommend using the template jig if you are going to go into mass production and sell floating shelves as a business.
