Faust Checho dives into the famous Catatumbo lightning storm that has been raging over Lake Maracaibo 300 days a year for over 2000 years.

When the basin of Andes mountains sends cold air towards the lake which connects with warm air from the Caribbean creating a massive thunderstorm over 3 miles above the lake that averages 28 flashes per minute!

Locals named the storm Catatumbo which translates to the House of Thunder and this house has a Guinness world record for the largest concentration of lightning anywhere in the world.

This storm isn’t going to be stopping anytime soon.
