Everywhere we look people are calling out other people, pointing out the faults and failings of other people. Pastor Tullian's friend Nadia says, “Our drug of choice these days seems to be knowing who we’re better than.”

But hearing Jesus say in these verses that “I” have a log in MY eye, that I’m blind and broken, takes away the scorecard I cling to in helping me think I'm better than you—it helps me see that we’re all on the same level playing field of needing grace.

No one is NOT in need of grace.
