Vivek Ramaswamy: Challenges Fellow GOP Candidates To Call On Manhattan DA to Abandon Indicted Trump

VIvek Ramaswamy holds a press conference after news of PDJT impending indictment calls for his fellow GOP Presidential Candidates to ban together to protest this insidious political stunt. Like TRUMP he is not a politician but a common sense businessman who sees the treachery at foot.

Earlier today it was reported that President Trump is going to be indicted by the corrupt Soros-backed DA in New York for a bogus literally made-up crime.

A Trump indictment would be a national disaster. It is un-American for the ruling party to use police power to arrest its political rivals. If a Republican prosecutor in 2004 had used a campaign finance technicality to arrest then-candidate John Kerry while Bush & Cheney were in power, liberals would have cried foul - and rightly so. Principles go beyond partisanship. Let the American people decide who governs. This will mark a dark moment in American history and will undermine public trust in our electoral system itself. I call on the Manhattan District Attorney to reconsider this action and to put aside partisan politics in service of preserving our Constitutional republic.

The New York Times even admits this case is a loser:

In New York, falsifying business records can amount to a crime, albeit a misdemeanor. To elevate the crime to a felony charge, Bragg’s prosecutors must show that Trump’s “intent to defraud” included an intent to commit or conceal a second crime.

In this case, that second crime could be a violation of New York state election law. While hush money is not inherently illegal, the prosecutors could argue that the $130,000 payout effectively became an improper donation to Trump’s campaign, under the theory that it benefited his candidacy because it silenced Daniels.
