Reloading: How Long Does It Take?

Reloading is great for saving money and ensuring you always have a supply of the ammo your gun is sighted in for, but how much time does it take? This video (along with a data sheet available for free) provides you with the answers by breaking down and timing each stage of the reloading process in a way you can apply to your own situation, regardless of which cartridge you reload for.

In the course of this experiment some interesting, lesser-known subjects are demonstrated in addition to standard reloading procedures; like how you can make your own gas checks from beer cans.

For those who cast their own bullets, the time required for traditional lubrisizing instead of powder-coating is considered. The information provided will help you assess the approach that is best for you.

The cartridge used for demonstration in this video is the obscure .45-120 with a 540 grain home-cast bullet used for hunting big game in Canada.
