On 03-06-23, I was traveling southbound on United States Highway 425 towards Lacey when I noticed a black Dodge Challenger traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. I confirmed my observation with my front radar, which indicated this vehicle was traveling 81 mph in a 55-mph zone. I activated my blue lights and siren and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on this vehicle. The suspect vehicle refused to stop and turned left onto Lacey New Hope Road. The suspect then made another left turn and began traveling eastbound on Lacey School Road at a very high rate of speed, running the stop sign when it reached United States Highway 425. The suspect continued eastbound for approximately one mile and turned right onto Valley Junction Road. After a short distance, the suspect vehicle turned right onto United States Highway 425. The suspect vehicle then turned left onto Lacey New Hope Road and began traveling northbound at a very high rate of speed. The suspect vehicle reached a speed of 119 mph on Lacey New Hope Road.
I pursued the suspect vehicle for approximately five miles before losing site of it. I pulled into a private driveway and asked a resident which way the suspect vehicle went. The resident advised it continued northbound on Lacey New Hope Road. I drove back onto Lacey New Hope Road and traveled a short distance before terminating the pursuit due to losing sight of the suspect vehicle.
I searched the area for the suspect vehicle but could not locate it. I was also unable to obtain a license plate number or a description of the driver during this pursuit.
