Picture a crocodile, but then double its size and you'll start to get an idea of the sheer magnitude of the Sarcosuchus, also known as the "Super Croc."

The Sarcosuchus lived approximately 112 million years ago during the Early Cretaceous Period. This colossal crocodile-like reptile could grow up to 40 feet in length and weigh as much as 10 tons.

The Sarcosuchus was an apex predator that lurked in rivers and lakes, ambushing its prey as they came to drink. Its diet included large fish, smaller dinosaurs, and even other crocodile-like creatures.
