Dishin Episode 4 Racing in the Rain

Welcome Episode 4 of Dishin'. Join us regularly as we DISH about what is going on in our Public Schools. This week, we are focused on controversial books. Please join us as we read excerpts from the book Racing in the Rain, by Garth Stein.

If haven't read the book, you may have seen the heartwarming film, which is rated PG and is appropriate for most age groups. However, the novel contains sexual content, nudity, references to bestiality, and excessive alcohol use and is NOT appropriate for our young children.

This book is available in several school districts across Northern Colorado (elementary, middle and high schools). It is imperative that parents are aware of what their children might be exposed to so that they can GIVE or WITHHOLD informed consent when it comes to reading these books.
